Responsibilities
- Build per-PR and nightly performance regression detection for startup, upload, print generation, and crash-rate KPIs, with CI alerting and enforcement.
- Re-architect system tests to drive end-to-end scenarios headlessly through PreForm Server and its Local API.
- Build and own a customer-file corpus pipeline that processes real customer models through slicing and support generation and compares results with baselines.
- Own Sentry crash triage, trend analysis, root-cause attribution, and crash-reproduction harnesses.
- Steward print regression baselines, CI flake, test runtimes, and golden-file management as a maintained product.
Requirements
- C++ proficiency for writing integration and system tests against PreForm internals, including mesh operations, print file generation, and slicing output.
- Python proficiency for corpus pipelines, API-driven test drivers, result diffing, and reporting.
- Strong CI and automation experience, including Jenkins, test parallelization, flake management, and baseline or golden-file testing strategies.
- Experience using Sentry, Amplitude, and crash and performance dashboards for release-health analysis.
- Ability to independently define test strategy while remaining hands-on as an individual contributor.
- Desktop application testing experience on Windows and macOS with Squish or Qt Test is strongly preferred.
- Passion for 3D printing or emerging technologies and experience in a fast-growing startup environment are bonuses.
