Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end features using C# APIs, Azure Functions, Angular, and TypeScript.
- Extend and maintain financial calculation engines and verify numerical output through tolerances, expected values, and regression testing.
- Build user interfaces connected to APIs and establish scalable frontend patterns.
- Extend and debug Azure event-driven architecture, including Service Bus, queue workers, blob storage, App Configuration, and Key Vault.
- Model and query MongoDB data and optimize slow queries or calculation-heavy paths.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, especially for calculated outputs.
- Monitor Azure alerts, logs, and Application Insights traces; diagnose production defects across the stack.
- Use Claude Code to explore code, scaffold features, generate tests, and improve development workflows.
- Review pull requests, promote testable design and shared engineering practices, refine requirements with business analysts, and provide second-level internal support.
Requirements
- Strong C# and .NET skills and the ability to understand and improve an existing codebase.
- Experience with a modern single-page application framework and TypeScript; Angular is preferred, with React or Vue experience transferable.
- Comfort with HTML, CSS, and utility-first styling such as Tailwind.
- Experience building and consuming web services in the cloud, with Azure preferred.
- Full-stack range, including UI, APIs, calculations, and database queries.
- Ability to reason about numerical correctness, verification, regression risks, performance, and reliability.
- Working knowledge of relational and/or document databases, including schema design and query writing.
- Excellent communication skills in distributed teams, including strong written English and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to business stakeholders.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
