Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain AI- and machine-learning-powered features and scalable systems for YouTube Creator Support.
- Develop ML systems and infrastructure to improve the quality of the Ask Studio creator chatbot using LLM advances.
- Conduct analytics to identify opportunities to improve the creator experience and deliver end-to-end improvements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and Program Management teams on high-impact solutions.
- Define technical strategy, long-term roadmaps, design patterns, and reusable high-performance frameworks.
- Identify emerging needs in the creator ecosystem and drive product and engineering innovation.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, technical guidance, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
- Preferred: experience building LLM-based systems.
