Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept to rollout, including design, delivery, and customer follow-up.
- Design, build, and operate core components of a distributed database.
- Translate customer pain points into manageable deliverables.
- Drive operational excellence and own outcomes against SLOs.
- Collaborate with other teams across Grafana to enhance product integration.
- Support teammates through design discussions and code reviews.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
- Contribute to the open-source community and engage with external contributions.
Requirements
- Solid experience with a systems programming language, preferably Go.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
- Strong product sense and ability to translate customer needs into deliverables.
- Curiosity and courage to challenge the status quo.
- Strong software craftsmanship with a focus on clean and maintainable code.
- Operational mindset with experience in SRE or infrastructure as code.
- Clear communication skills in a remote, asynchronous environment.
