Base Salary
$155k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement AWS cloud standards for infrastructure, networking, and software components while optimizing security, speed, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for infrastructure-as-code environments and satisfy security and compliance requirements.
- Maintain automation, deployment processes, and infrastructure-as-code pattern libraries that improve developer self-service and experience.
- Support monitoring, logging, troubleshooting, and resolution of AWS security, performance, and scalability issues.
- Contribute to developer training and documentation for platform products and help gather user needs and opportunities.
- Support security and compliance measures, promote reliable systems and processes, and participate in an on-call rotation for internal developer services.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Three to five years of experience in AWS cloud services or developer experience tooling, including at least three years with AWS technologies and at least two years with distributed systems.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and commercial tools such as GitLab and GitHub.
- Experience with Go, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience enabling and troubleshooting containerized workloads in ECS, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
- Experience engaging developer-platform users to identify needs and opportunities, plus strong written and verbal communication and troubleshooting skills.
- At least one associate-level AWS certification, or willingness to provide proof of certification within six months of employment.
- Bonus experience includes AWS or GCP serverless technologies, multi-region deployments, and developer surveys or feedback programs for developer-experience improvements.
