Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend systems for decision intelligence capabilities.
- Develop services that reduce manual effort and enhance collaboration with carriers.
- Modernize core platform services like identity management and search infrastructure.
- Transform logistics data into actionable insights for decision support.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to create scalable solutions.
- Build and operate systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Participate in on-call rotation and improve system observability and reliability.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building large-scale, cloud-based systems.
- Proficiency in Java with strong programming and debugging skills.
- Experience designing and building scalable Java-based microservices.
- Familiarity with APIs and web services (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Experience with NoSQL and/or relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Postgres).
- Experience in an Agile software development environment.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality.
