Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, architecture, and development of enterprise Pega applications for banking onboarding, compliance, due diligence, and servicing workflows.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Pega solutions using case management, BPM, workflows, stages, case types, business rules, and decisioning.
- Configure Pega data and application components, including Data Pages, Data Transforms, Decision Tables, Activities, Report Definitions, and reusable components.
- Build responsive user interfaces with Pega UI/SAIL, views, sections, harnesses, portals, and Constellation-based experiences.
- Design and implement integrations using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, DX APIs, messaging frameworks, and external systems.
- Perform application performance tuning, debugging, root cause analysis, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
- Manage deployments across development, QA, UAT, and production using Git, Jenkins, and automated deployment practices.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, estimation sessions, and architecture reviews.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers.
- Support modernization initiatives involving Generative AI and AI-driven Pega capabilities.
- Support critical production incidents and release activities, including occasional off-hours support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is listed as the education requirement.
- At least 3 years of relevant or direct industry experience is typically required for this level; comparable education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of overall software development experience in enterprise application environments is preferred.
- 3–4+ years of hands-on Pega Platform development experience is preferred.
- Strong experience with Pega 7.x, Pega 8.x, Pega Infinity 24+, Pega Constellation, Case Management, BPM, workflow automation, Pega Rules, Process Models, Data Pages, Data Transforms, Decision Tables, Activities, and Report Definitions.
- Experience configuring Pega Security, Access Groups, application architecture components, Pega UI/SAIL, views, sections, harnesses, and portals.
- Experience developing REST and SOAP integrations and working with JSON, XML, DX APIs, external APIs, and third-party systems.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Working knowledge of Java/J2EE, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for platform extensions and UI customization.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, automated deployment strategies, cloud-based Pega deployments, performance tuning, debugging, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Experience creating technical designs, architecture documentation, and solution blueprints.
- Experience implementing Generative AI or AI-powered enterprise application capabilities.
- Experience with Pega Customer Service, Customer Decision Hub, Decisioning, or other Pega industry frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging platforms, microservices, large-scale enterprise platforms, and banking or financial services workflows is preferred.
- One or more Pega certifications, such as CLSA, CSSA, CSA, or CPDC, are preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills are required.
