Responsibilities

  • Lead solution design and architecture reviews for software development initiatives.
  • Translate architectural direction into detailed designs and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and governance requirements.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define scope, requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Design and evaluate system interactions, data flows, and integrations across applications and services.
  • Model business and system workflows and identify handoffs, failure points, and optimization opportunities.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, decision records, interface requirements, and other review-ready artifacts.
  • Support architecture governance, compliance assessments, vendor evaluations, selection processes, and RFP-related architecture reviews.
  • Consider customer-facing and employee-facing impacts across branch, care center, and digital channels.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in requirements analysis, solution design, architecture governance, documentation, workflow modeling, and integration design.
  • Bachelor’s degree; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of APIs, file-based integrations, event-driven architectures, streaming solutions, application interactions, and data flows.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and diagramming tools such as Gliffy or equivalent solution-modeling tools.
  • Ability to communicate architecture decisions and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate with product, engineering, security, and enterprise architecture teams.
  • Cloud architecture awareness and familiarity with cloud migration, modernization, microservices, containers, streaming platforms, master data management, shared services, API integration, and batch processing are preferred.
  • Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years; higher education such as a master’s degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable.
  • No required certifications or licenses.
