Responsibilities
- Shape build, deployment, and CI/CD roadmaps to deliver software to the field faster and more safely.
- Own image building and release processes for embedded Linux systems, including secure over-the-air updates and fleet rollback.
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with Autonomy and Perception engineers to create reliable, scalable development environments.
- Set standards for how software is built and shipped.
- Drive infrastructure requirements gathering, development, rollout, and ongoing operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps, including ownership of systems used daily by other engineers.
- Strong software engineering skills and experience with related tooling.
- Required experience with enterprise build and deployment systems and image-building infrastructure for embedded Linux systems.
- Experience building and managing CI pipelines for build, test, and ML workloads.
- Direct experience with IoT device management, telemetry, and secure over-the-air update mechanisms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and software provisioning, such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices tailored for embedded deployments.
- Experience with Nix, NixOS, or Nixpkgs and robotics or DevOps tooling such as Foxglove is preferred.
