Responsibilities
- Own network architecture for on-machine, worksite, and site-backhaul layers.
- Gather requirements, evaluate components, develop, deploy, roll out, and monitor networking infrastructure connecting autonomous robots.
- Support field deployments with specialized networking requirements and customer integrations.
- Apply security mechanisms to product-related network activity.
- Configure Linux policy-based routing to prioritize traffic and improve reliability in multi-WAN environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar roles.
- Experience owning a product network stack end to end.
- Experience architecting networks with strict timing and synchronization requirements, such as PTP, for aligning sensor data.
- Experience dimensioning, configuring, and deploying in-product network architectures.
- Experience with infrastructure as code such as Ansible, Terraform, or Nix/NixOS.
- Strong software engineering skills and experience with tools such as clangd, Cargo, and Pyrefly are preferred.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus is preferred.
- Hands-on containerization experience with Docker or Podman is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
- Experience with high-bandwidth, low-latency robotics data, robotics and DevOps tooling, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or regulatory and spectrum management is preferred.
