Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain features across the Tulip Player application, device drivers, and cloud microservices.
- Partner with product, design, and QA to scope and ship features from prototype through production.
- Debug and resolve customer-facing issues from real manufacturing environments.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Contribute to technical and architecture decisions affecting platform reliability and scalability.
- Participate in the team’s on-call and support rotation.
- Collaborate with embedded engineers on driver and device integrations.
- Help improve deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure practices, including microservices and container tooling.
Requirements
- 2-5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building production web applications.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript is required.
- Familiarity with API design and integration using RESTful services.
- Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and debugging practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with React, React Native/Expo, and/or Electron is preferred.
- Experience with macOS and Windows platform development is preferred.
- Experience with hardware and device integrations is preferred.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and microservices deployment is preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies is preferred.
- Comfort using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future company sponsorship.
