Base Salary

$130k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering teams to identify high-leverage AI opportunities in code generation, code review, testing, debugging, and internal tooling.
  • Build and maintain the internal agentic AI platform, including skills, plugins, MCP servers, and integrations with source control, CI/CD, observability, ticketing, and other engineering systems.
  • Own foundational architecture and standards for agent and model evaluation, reliability, efficiency, deployment, and secure tool access.
  • Improve onboarding, documentation, discovery, skills catalogs, guides, and internal wikis for AI developer tools.
  • Track agentic AI and developer-tooling trends to inform internal standards and roadmap decisions.
  • Contribute to engineering AI enablement through learning programs, office hours, and change management.
  • Instrument adoption and impact of internal AI tooling and use the data to prioritize future development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in developer tooling, platform engineering, or internal-facing developer experience systems.
  • Meaningful hands-on experience building with AI and LLMs and shipping agentic solutions.
  • Experience building internal tools that make AI capabilities accessible to engineers, including build-versus-buy and standardization-versus-experimentation judgment.
  • Strong full-stack proficiency with TypeScript and its ecosystem, API design and integration experience, and familiarity with RESTful services and MCP.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, RAG, and tool-use or function-calling patterns.
  • Production experience with AWS and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Understanding of AI safety and security, particularly code execution and access to internal systems.
  • Experience with or strong interest in developer experience fundamentals, engineering productivity measurement, and treating internal tooling as a product.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to understand engineering pain points and drive adoption of internal solutions.

  • The listed compensation range applies to new hires across all US locations and is $130,000–$180,000 per year.
