Base Salary
$167k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement state-of-the-art online mapping models and algorithms.
- Build robust ML and mapping systems using real-world camera, LiDAR, and other sensor data in uncertain environments.
- Analyze online mapping system performance and identify architecture, data, and evaluation improvements across the end-to-end ML system.
- Work with other ML teams to integrate models into centralized architectures.
- Collaborate with autonomy, infrastructure, and systems stakeholders on online mapping requirements.
- Develop and maintain data, labeling, and ML training pipelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience solving in-production machine-learning problems and making tradeoffs among data, models, and evaluation.
- Deep understanding of machine-learning fundamentals and hands-on experience training and evaluating modern ML models.
- Experience applying ML to autonomous vehicles, robotics, mapping, computer vision, or related areas.
- Experience with robotics-related ML applications and 3D geometry.
- Strong Python skills and experience with deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax.
- Proficiency with complex multi-component systems is a bonus.
- Experience building ML pipelines and optimizing or productizing ML models is a bonus.
- Familiarity with distributed training and ML compilers is a bonus.
- Research publications in conferences such as NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, CVPR, RSS, CoRL, or ICRA are a bonus.
- Deep understanding of 3D geometry and state-estimation fundamentals is a bonus.
