Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native architectures and hybrid-cloud solutions.
- Oversee cloud engineering projects, architecture reviews, Infrastructure as Code templates, automation workflows, and risk mitigation.
- Manage cloud resources across multiple platforms, including performance tuning, scaling, upgrades, governance, SLAs, and cost optimization.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, incident response, and resolution of complex cloud issues.
- Lead cloud security initiatives covering IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, security automation, and compliance.
- Drive disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including risk assessments, failover testing, recovery exercises, high availability, multi-region, and backup strategies.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical leadership and strategic guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure with increasing technical leadership responsibilities.
- Deep expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP and familiarity with multi-cloud environments.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced knowledge of networking, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and operating systems.
- Hands-on VMware vSphere and ESXi experience, including vSAN-based hyperconverged storage design, deployment, and operations.
- Hands-on Microsoft Hyper-V failover clustering experience using Storage Spaces Direct for hyperconverged infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks including SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or NIST.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, project management, communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
