Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements and identify dependencies for product, application, service, and platform scenarios.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code for scalable production software and services.
- Develop design documents and partner with stakeholders on project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, participate in on-call operations, monitor service health, and help restore degraded or interrupted systems.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring, and operations at scale.
- Guide other engineers by developing and following operational playbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- At least 6 years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software and services at scale.
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact solutions.
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Preferred: expertise in distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure, developer platforms, or cloud services.
- Preferred: experience engaging customers during integration or deployment and incorporating feedback into product evolution.
