Responsibilities
- Develop and extend SAP planning functionality using ABAP and ABAP OO.
- Build and maintain interfaces between planning systems and SAP core systems using IDoc, RFC, OData, CIF, APIs, and SAP AIF monitoring.
- Configure SAP PP, PP-DS, and S/4HANA planning processes.
- Perform error analysis, debugging, and performance optimization for large data volumes.
- Assess current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and define target processes and solution designs.
- Design SAP UX solutions using Fiori, SAPUI5, and S/4HANA.
- Define solution architecture, assess technical feasibility and risks, and estimate implementation effort.
- Design and build side-by-side extensions and custom applications on SAP BTP using Clean Core principles.
- Configure SAP Build Work Zone, BTP Launchpad, destinations, cloud connectivity, identity, authentication, and authorization.
- Automate application deployments using CI/CD pipelines and manage application transport across landscapes.
- Create technical documentation, solution presentations, code reviews, and testing documentation.
- Support testing, go-live, and collaboration with infrastructure, functional, architecture, business, and external service-provider teams.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
- At least 6 years of SAP Fiori experience, ideally in a planning or logistics environment.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, including B.E., B.Tech, MCA, M.Sc., or equivalent.
- SAP Fiori Application Development certification.
- Experience developing, deploying, and configuring applications on Cloud Foundry.
- Experience creating and configuring launchpad sites using BTP Launchpad Service.
- Knowledge of BTP services including workflow management, HANA Cloud, Document Service, destinations, and on-premise connectivity.
- Experience with Fiori design patterns, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, OData, CDS Views, and Fiori application extensions.
- Experience with SAP ECC, SRM, S/4HANA, Fiori/UI5, SAP Gateway, and embedded, hub, and cloud Fiori scenarios.
- Functional knowledge of MM, SD, eWM, SRM, Sourcing & Procurement, and FI-CO modules.
- Expertise with SAP Web IDE, SAP Business Application Studio, VS Code, and Eclipse.
- Experience with SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Cloud Transport Management, SAP Cloud Connector, Destination services, CAPM, and S/4HANA connectivity.
- Knowledge of RAP, CDS Views and annotations, Node.js or Java, IAM, XSUAA, SAP Cloud Identity Services, GitHub, SonarQube, ESLint, and Git workflows.
- Experience with interface and data integration, Gateway configuration, security roles and authorizations, custom UI5 controls, and OData service extensions.
- Knowledge of Core Java, HTML, ABAP developments including RFCs, BAPIs, and programs, SAP ChARM, CTS+, and Git.
- Fluent written and verbal English; German is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, structured, communication, solution-orientation, and collaboration skills.
