Responsibilities
- Architect and implement resilient, scalable systems and data integration capabilities for music supply chain applications.
- Design and maintain ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines across upstream and downstream systems.
- Lead large projects with multiple components and teams while setting architectural direction for scalability and maintainability.
- Develop large-scale data processing solutions using Python, Apache Spark, SQL, and data platform technologies.
- Integrate systems through RESTful and GraphQL APIs and streaming or messaging frameworks.
- Mentor senior engineers, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and drive technical alignment.
- Fix critical bugs, promote technical excellence, and advance engineering strategy and innovation.
- Implement data governance, security, observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting practices for data pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, designing, developing, and delivering production-grade applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL, including data modeling, schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and Avro, Parquet, JSON, or related file formats.
- Expertise with Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools.
- Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data integrations, data lakehouse architectures, and microservices.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure, including services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, and VPC.
- Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and data streaming or messaging frameworks such as Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
- Proficiency with Linux environments and bash shell scripting.
- Understanding of object-oriented and functional programming, data governance, security, and observability best practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and contributing to iterative development, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software, electrical, or electronics engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes advanced AWS infrastructure management, Kafka, Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and serverless computing.
