Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver resilient, scalable systems for music supply chain applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain data integrations between upstream and downstream systems.
- Lead architectural design and implementation of large projects and complex solutions.
- Fix critical bugs and drive technical excellence, scalability, and maintainability.
- Mentor engineers and facilitate collaboration across engineering, product management, QA, design, and other teams.
- Own development projects spanning multiple components and teams while setting architectural direction.
- Drive innovation, technical strategy, stakeholder alignment, and knowledge sharing.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Contribute to data streaming, messaging, API integration, observability, and cloud-based platform capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role delivering production-grade applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python and advanced SQL, including data modeling, schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and large-scale data formats such as Avro, Parquet, and JSON.
- Expertise with Databricks, Snowflake, and orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow.
- Experience designing data integration and ETL/ELT pipelines across systems.
- Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure, including S3, RDS, Lambda, SQS/SNS, and VPC.
- Understanding of data lakehouse and microservices architectures.
- Experience integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs and using Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub for streaming and messaging.
- Proficiency with Linux and Bash shell scripting.
- Understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, logging, monitoring, and alerting best practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including iterative development, sprint planning, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, electrical or electronics engineering, or a comparable field, and/or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes advanced AWS infrastructure management, Kafka, Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and serverless computing.
