Responsibilities
- Develop, design, code, and enhance custom software components and applications using COBOL Mainframe.
- Maintain and update existing software to improve functionality and performance.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues in legacy systems and batch-processing environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze software requirements.
- Document software designs, processes, and changes for knowledge sharing and future maintenance.
- Work independently, contribute to team discussions and problem-solving, and become a subject matter expert.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with COBOL Mainframe.
- Proficiency in COBOL Mainframe, including strong understanding of mainframe environments and batch processing.
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex software issues in legacy systems.
- Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- 15 years of full-time education.
