Base Salary
$160k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and scale robust data pipelines between Datomic, Kafka, and BigQuery.
- Build elegant, fault-tolerant ETL systems using frameworks like DBT.
- Optimize streaming performance to support real-time machine learning models.
- Set standards for backend architecture in Clojure and mentor engineering peers.
- Collaborate with Data Science, Product, and Business Development teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software or data engineering experience.
- Strong academic background in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience operating at a Staff or Principal level.
- Deep production-grade experience in Clojure and JVM.
- 4+ years designing high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses, specifically BigQuery.
- Experience with streaming infrastructure like Kafka and processing frameworks.
