Responsibilities
- Gather and document customer requirements, needs, and challenges.
- Architect and demonstrate AI/ML-powered solutions involving computer vision, data ingestion, analytics, and API integrations.
- Partner with Account Executives to support relationships, new business, and RFI/RFP processes.
- Lead the design and deployment of end-to-end ML and computer vision workflows for utility customers.
- Collaborate with customer technical teams during deployment to support integration, best practices, and long-term optimization.
- Develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Complete customer-requested vendor security audits and support solution security and compliance.
- Answer client questions about the company’s technology, features, and solutions.
- Create demos, visualizations, and technical presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deliver virtual and onsite customer training.
- Support implementation and integration of solutions into customer workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in solutions engineering or sales engineering, ideally supporting AI/ML or data-driven software products.
- Proven experience building and operationalizing AI/ML workflows and solutions.
- Strong understanding of neural network architectures and convolutional neural networks for detection, segmentation, and supervised classification.
- Proficiency with computers and business software, including CRM, presentation, and productivity tools.
- Background in or strong understanding of cybersecurity and information security standards, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and guide customers through technical discovery and solution adoption.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop tailored customer solutions.
- Experience with scripting or automation such as Python or VBA.
- Experience selling, buying, or integrating Esri products such as ArcGIS is preferred.
- Electric utility or power engineering experience is preferred.
- Field technician or field engineer experience in the utility industry, particularly as a substation technician, utility inspector, or lineman, is preferred.
- A valid passport and ability to obtain necessary visas are required for international travel.
