Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Implement and maintain cloud security frameworks for compliance with federal standards.
- Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).
- Engineer and optimize cloud-native security tools for threat detection and response.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and continuous monitoring of cloud resources.
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans and risk/compliance reporting.
- Identify and respond to security incidents within cloud environments.
- Perform periodic security reviews and audits of cloud environments.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.
- Assess current cloud architectures and propose security improvements.
- Coordinate with configuration management teams to ensure security protocols are followed.
- Develop and maintain cloud security policies and automated guardrails.
- Monitor cloud environments for security incidents and coordinate incident response.
- Provide guidance and training on secure cloud design patterns.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Secret clearance required (TS/SCI preferred).
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field, or 5+ years equivalent experience.
- 5–9+ years in cloud security engineering with hands-on experience in AWS GovCloud, Azure, or multi-cloud environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, IAM/RBAC, encryption, and network security.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security tools.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and security automation tools.
