Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to bridge the gap between interactive prototypes and production-ready code.
- Improve design system usability while optimizing responsiveness and motion for delightful user experiences.
- Integrate into the design review process to add micro-interactions that enhance product quality.
- Maintain and grow shared components across mobile and web to simplify the creation of beautiful experiences.
- Build working prototypes to resolve product debates and inform feature direction.
- Mentor frontend engineers and set standards for quality in shipped products.
- Provide insights from the intersection of design and engineering to enhance roadmap conversations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in frontend development for consumer products, with 2+ years in a Design Engineer role.
- Proficiency in React, React Native, TypeScript, and modern CSS.
- Hands-on experience with Figma and optimizing design systems.
- A portfolio showcasing a focus on craft and attention to detail.
- Strong product instincts and ability to create immersive prototypes from evolving PRDs.
- A bias toward ownership and the ability to scope and deliver delightful solutions.
- Willingness to work in-person in NYC, 5 days a week.
