Responsibilities

Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed delivery teams.
Modernise and evolve complex legacy systems.
Design solutions for scalability, maintainability, security, and high performance.
Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and distributed teams.
Support delivery throughout the full software development lifecycle.
Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards.
Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and future architecture decisions.

7+ years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
Strong Java background, including Java EE or Jakarta EE.
Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications.
Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
Experience leading legacy-system modernisation in complex enterprise environments.
Experience with JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven, or Azure DevOps is advantageous.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with geographically distributed technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Remote working arrangement with initial 2–3 weeks onsite in Dresden and approximately one week of business travel to Dresden each quarter.
