Responsibilities
- Design and deliver solutions for software and services on cloud-hosted production infrastructure.
- Review other engineers’ solutions and provide technical feedback.
- Shape and automate development and deployment processes for enterprise software.
- Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure and security technologies focused on resiliency, observability, and cost optimization.
- Participate in planning, technology evaluation, selection, and improvement initiatives.
- Share expertise and help colleagues grow and develop.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for cloud solution maintenance.
Requirements
- Experience with scalable, distributed systems architecture and cloud platforms, ideally GCP.
- Programming experience with Go (Golang).
- Experience with Kubernetes orchestration and Docker containerization.
- Experience defining and implementing automated service deployments covering networking, security, reliability, management, reporting, and configuration management.
- In-depth understanding of deployment automation best practices.
- Experience using Git in a team environment.
- Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
- Advantageous qualifications include in-depth networking knowledge, identity and access management expertise, deployment instrumentation, customer deployment issue resolution, globally distributed team experience, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
