Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient production infrastructure across cloud environments.
- Develop automated alerting and monitoring strategies for infrastructure and database environments.
- Own uptime and reliability for large-scale databases and distributed services.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Engineering, Product, Security, and Operations teams to scale and secure the cloud-native platform.
- Enforce security and compliance practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and lead proof-of-concept projects for tools and services that improve performance and security.
- Build infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Maintain documentation and provide on-call support for incident resolution and recovery.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required.
- 5+ years of experience managing Linux servers in a global, cloud-based environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud services.
- 5+ years of production experience with Python and Kubernetes.
- Experience managing production Kubernetes environments, including cluster performance, autoscaling, and service reliability.
- Expertise in large-scale systems operations and database reliability engineering.
- Strong knowledge of automated alerting, incident triage, and monitoring practices.
- Deep networking knowledge, including routing tables, service mesh, and CNI.
- 3+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with AI Ops platforms or ML-driven observability tools, resource optimization, and security incident response.
- Knowledge of LLM-based infrastructure automation or code-generation tools.
- Preferred qualifications include government-project experience, security and compliance experience with FedRAMP, GDPR, or SOC 2, experience with FIPS, SELinux, or air-gapped environments, and prior database reliability engineering roles.
