Base Salary
$100k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build systems to schedule and coordinate experiments across distributed laboratories.
- Develop infrastructure connecting AI agents with experiments and laboratory instruments.
- Design data systems capturing state, actions, measurements, failures, and provenance.
- Architect distributed systems coordinating software, devices, and experiments.
- Create developer tools and APIs for new workflows and integrations.
- Debug and optimize systems across software, hardware, and physical systems.
Requirements
- 3 to 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years building production-grade software systems end to end.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Rust, with relevant experience in Rust or TypeScript.
- Experience designing distributed systems, including APIs, networking, and asynchronous communication.
- Experience working as an engineer at an early-stage startup and taking ownership in ambiguous environments.
- Experience with ML infrastructure or production ML systems is valuable.
- Experience with robotics, physical AI, agents, lab automation, embedded systems, developer tooling, or data infrastructure is a plus.
- Biology experience is not required.
