Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and delivery of complex business solutions aligned with client objectives and enterprise strategy.
- Create solution and architecture designs that translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable outcomes.
- Design API-led, integration-focused, and event-driven solutions, including end-to-end integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, delivery teams, external partners, and clients to support successful programme delivery.
- Promote architectural best practices, governance standards, reuse, maintainability, and reduced technical debt.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issues while maintaining stakeholder transparency.
- Champion AI-fluent ways of working and contribute to future-ready workforce development.
Requirements
- Strong experience in solution architecture, technical design, and software delivery across complex enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to lead architecture decisions from concept through implementation and operational adoption.
- Experience managing end-to-end project and delivery lifecycles in client-facing environments.
- Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of modern software engineering principles, architecture patterns, and integration approaches.
- AWS services experience with Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB is desirable.
- Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Apigee, REST API, and Python experience is desirable.
- Experience with enterprise transformation and cloud modernisation initiatives is desirable.
- Insurance sector experience, particularly Commercial Insurance or the London Market, is advantageous.
- AWS, architecture, cloud, security, IAF, industry, or TOGAF 9 certifications are advantageous; Capgemini Architects certification level 1 or 2 is preferred.
