Responsibilities
- Own application- or software-component-level development, testing, and deployment tasks.
- Troubleshoot, refactor, and improve existing code and adopt languages and architecture patterns required by the work.
- Develop scalable full-stack applications spanning backend services, persistence tiers, user interfaces, and APIs.
- Create technical designs, compare implementation approaches, plan tasks, design test plans, and manage defensive feature rollouts with rollback contingencies.
- Write technical documentation and conduct product demonstrations.
- Apply unit, regression, performance, and integration testing throughout the feature lifecycle.
- Isolate and resolve intermittent or difficult-to-reproduce technical problems.
- Influence team decisions and assist, guide, and coach junior engineers, peers, and interns.
- Use enterprise tooling and processes supporting the full software development lifecycle.
- Propose and apply current software-development trends to product-feature design and architecture challenges.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and MCP.
- Ability to write skills and Claude Code plugins.
- Coding skills with Java, Python, and Spring Boot.
- Knowledge of Kafka and cloud technologies.
- Understanding of LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and LangChain is preferred.
- Experience with full-stack application development, including backend services, databases or other persistence tiers, and interfaces such as GUIs and APIs.
- Knowledge of data-access patterns including data transfer objects, object-relational mappings, data sharding, and geo-partitioning.
- Understanding of defensive coding, logging, alerts, feature development lifecycles, technical documentation, and testability.
- Experience with enterprise tools and processes for version control, code review, code coverage, ticketing, and feature or defect planning and tracking.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, collaborate across roles and geographies, troubleshoot systematically, and support the growth of other engineers.
