Responsibilities
- Integrate technologies and features across a large codebase while merging modern and legacy designs across multiple hardware architectures.
- Improve memory usage, load times, and overall game performance.
- Debug defects in development environments and test, debug, and extend other engineers’ code.
- Increase team efficiency through automation, tooling, and workflow enhancements.
- Contribute to core EA technologies and collaborative development efforts.
- Design practical technical solutions with technical and non-technical coworkers.
- Support the Systems engineering team with technical issues and questions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of C++ development experience.
- Knowledge of software engineering, architectural design, memory management, file systems, multi-core processing, and performance optimization.
- Experience using profiling tools to monitor and diagnose issues.
- Experience with build systems, pipelines, source control, multiple compilers, and multiple architectures.
- Experience integrating and maintaining large-scale systems and legacy codebases across multiple disciplines.
- Experience communicating and collaborating with external team members or teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Experience with Python, Lua, C#, assembly, and shipping console products is preferred or valued.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as coding agents to prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows, with the ability to review and validate generated code.

- British Columbia compensation is listed at $104,500–$142,800 CAD per year, excluded from benefit details here.
