Responsibilities
- Design and implement projects in highly scalable and performant environments.
- Lead systems evolution and serve as the technical go-to for complex systems.
- Act as a technical lead for a team of four or more engineers.
- Help lead software development releases for Sovrn products.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and implementing projects in highly scalable and performant environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Experience as a technical lead on a team of four or more engineers.
- Strong Java development and software design experience.
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Knowledge of web and internet fundamentals.
- Experience with source control, build and deployment tools, Linux platforms, and relational databases.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
- Preferred experience includes advertising industry experience, Hive, Hadoop, front-end UI development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and deep understanding of pure JavaScript and PHP.
