
Cloud DevOps and AI Security Engineer

Responsibilities
- Support security checks, control documentation, tool validation, and risk escalation for AI infrastructure and AI-enabled development workflows.
- Review logs, alerts, system activity, and pipeline outputs to identify, document, and escalate potential vulnerabilities or unusual behavior.
- Provision, configure, and maintain AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Update and write basic Terraform, Serverless, and AWS CloudFormation templates under senior guidance.
- Help manage user permissions and access controls using AWS IAM and least-privilege principles.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, document findings, and support safe releases.
- Maintain and improve automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
- Create and maintain documentation for architecture diagrams, deployment processes, access controls, and security protocols.
Requirements
- Foundational understanding of AWS, cloud computing, networking, IAM, security groups, and common web infrastructure patterns.
- Basic familiarity with least privilege, access controls, encryption, secrets management, logging, and secure configuration practices.
- Ability to review logs, alerts, system activity, and pipeline outputs, document findings, and escalate potential risks.
- Basic scripting experience with Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, Bitbucket pipelines, pull requests, branching strategies, and change tracking.
- Awareness of responsible use of AI coding assistants and automation tools, including protecting sensitive information, validating outputs, documenting AI-assisted changes, and following approved practices.
- 0–2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, cloud operations, cybersecurity, software engineering, web operations, or junior DevOps.
- A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Coursework, internships, graduate research, capstone projects, or hands-on experience in cloud security, DevSecOps, secure software development, application security, AI infrastructure, or responsible AI coding assistant use is highly desirable.
- Relevant entry-level certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or CompTIA Security+ are helpful but not required.
