Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, services, components, APIs, utilities, and automation across desktop, web, and cloud environments.
- Build and maintain software packaging and deployment solutions for AspenTech’s aspenONE software.
- Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-tested code using established software engineering practices.
- Participate in requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, code review, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and architecture activities.
- Develop applications and services using C#, C++, and other appropriate programming or scripting languages.
- Support cloud-based applications and services in AWS and Azure environments.
- Develop unit, integration, and automated tests and resolve defects and regressions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, troubleshooting, code review, and documentation, while validating generated outputs.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, product teams, and other stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues and deliver solutions.
- Integrate development and delivery processes with Git, Perforce, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes and with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Perform root-cause analysis, improve engineering workflows through automation, and provide technical guidance to less-experienced developers.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of professional software development experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining production software.
- Strong proficiency in C# and/or C++, object-oriented programming, software design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience developing desktop and/or web applications, services, and APIs.
- Experience developing and deploying software in cloud environments, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Experience with unit, integration, automated, and quality engineering testing practices, debugging, and defect resolution.
- Experience using and critically evaluating AI-assisted software development tools.
- Experience with CI/CD, build automation, version control systems such as Git and Perforce, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL database technologies and software architecture principles.
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to independently design, implement, test, debug, maintain, and deliver complex software components and features.
