Base Salary
$130k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain technology protecting SpaceX systems, networks, and data.
- Stand up authentication, identity, multifactor authentication, and network access control services.
- Automate identity lifecycle processes for Information Security and partner organizations.
- Run backend infrastructure supporting network security services.
- Operate web application firewalls and other application-level security controls.
- Enforce cloud security policy, centralized configuration, and monitoring.
- Identify threats and security gaps and ship software and deployment changes that reduce risk.
- Document, maintain, and advise other teams on operated security systems.
- Coordinate with information security, physical security, IT, HR, legal, software, and other partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience writing, shipping, and operating secure software.
- Preferred knowledge of Linux, Windows, macOS system internals, PKI, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, TPMs, HSMs, TCP/IP, UDP, web APIs, HTTP-RPC, and REST.
- Preferred experience hardening Windows, Linux, and macOS, performing code signing and enterprise application deployment, and debugging root causes under time pressure.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
- Must be able to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $130,000-$195,000 across listed levels.
- Onsite work is required; hybrid and remote work are not considered.
