Responsibilities
- Design and build a high-performance rendering architecture for interactive geospatial visualization and precision spatial editing.
- Define spatial editing interactions with Design, including snapping, cursor states, loading transitions, easing curves, and pixel-level visual polish.
- Optimize rendering latency with partial GPU buffer updates and custom shaders to support real-time vertex manipulation.
- Develop 3D line-of-sight analysis, signal-strength heatmaps, and AI-driven hardware placement suggestions.
- Own the client-side CRDT synchronization architecture, including the document model, local persistence, presence, offline-first editing, and conflict resolution.
- Architect a core spatial platform supporting eight or more Verkada product lines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building complex customer-facing web applications or high-performance graphics engines.
- Expertise in JavaScript fundamentals and React, including familiarity with state and data libraries such as React Query and Zustand.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data structures, memory management, linear algebra, coordinate-system conversions, geospatial projections, and 3D geometry.
- Ability to deliver pixel-perfect, high-performance interactions and collaborate closely with Design on production-grade user experiences.
