Responsibilities
- Design and develop efficient, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions using the .NET framework.
- Monitor, update, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Energy Management applications.
- Implement enhancements, integrate software with existing systems and databases, and protect data integrity and accessibility.
- Document system updates, modifications, and best practices for knowledge continuity.
- Ensure applications follow OTI compliance standards and data-security best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, external consultants, and vendors.
- Use user feedback to improve applications and provide training and support to business teams.
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two years of qualifying full-time software experience, including one year as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
- Alternatively, a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and six years of qualifying full-time software experience, including one year as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
- A satisfactory combination of education and experience may substitute for the stated pathways; college credits and a master's degree may substitute for specified experience.
- All candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of qualifying full-time software experience as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
- Experience in computer operations, technical support, quality assurance, hardware installation, help desk, or end-user work does not satisfy the minimum qualifications.
- Applicants must be permanently serving in the Computer Specialist Software title or reachable on the Computer Specialist Software civil service exam, with eligibility also available through the 55-a Program for qualified persons with disabilities.
