Responsibilities

  • Design and develop efficient, scalable, and user-friendly software solutions using the .NET framework.
  • Monitor, update, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize Energy Management applications.
  • Implement enhancements, integrate software with existing systems and databases, and protect data integrity and accessibility.
  • Document system updates, modifications, and best practices for knowledge continuity.
  • Ensure applications follow OTI compliance standards and data-security best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, external consultants, and vendors.
  • Use user feedback to improve applications and provide training and support to business teams.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related computer field and two years of qualifying full-time software experience, including one year as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
  • Alternatively, a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and six years of qualifying full-time software experience, including one year as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
  • A satisfactory combination of education and experience may substitute for the stated pathways; college credits and a master's degree may substitute for specified experience.
  • All candidates must have a four-year high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of qualifying full-time software experience as a project leader or major contributor on a complex project.
  • Experience in computer operations, technical support, quality assurance, hardware installation, help desk, or end-user work does not satisfy the minimum qualifications.
  • Applicants must be permanently serving in the Computer Specialist Software title or reachable on the Computer Specialist Software civil service exam, with eligibility also available through the 55-a Program for qualified persons with disabilities.
