Base Salary
$210k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define target-state architecture, technology strategy, architecture principles, integration patterns, and multi-year roadmaps for investment operations and distribution platforms.
- Lead architecture governance, design reviews, technology assessments, proof-of-concepts, platform modernization, and technology rationalization initiatives.
- Architect solutions supporting trade lifecycle management, settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions, fund accounting, valuations, custody, investment accounting, performance, regulatory reporting, and alternative-investment operations.
- Guide architecture for distribution, sales, marketing, CRM, product lifecycle, sales enablement, client engagement, and related data integrations.
- Provide technical leadership across APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, containers, automation, observability, and resilient infrastructure.
- Lead application design and deployment on GCP and PCF, and establish scalable data architectures, pipelines, metadata, and analytics-ready platforms.
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, SRE, data, product, and business leaders to improve scalability, resilience, security, and operational effectiveness.
- Evaluate AI and GenAI opportunities while ensuring governance, security, and risk-management compliance.
- Mentor engineers and architects and communicate architecture decisions to executive and technical audiences.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture roles.
- Significant experience in asset-management operations and sales and marketing technology.
- Experience leading vendor-based platforms, SaaS ecosystems, package implementations, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Proven success leading large-scale platform architecture and modernization initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, .NET/C#, or Python.
- Deep expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, API design, and distributed systems.
- Strong cloud architecture experience with GCP preferred or AWS, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data engineering patterns, and analytics platforms, including Snowflake and SQL Server.
- Experience with Salesforce and related data integrations.
- Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, or equivalent DevOps toolchains.
- Knowledge of AI/ML architecture patterns, model deployment, and governance frameworks.
- Strong investment-management domain knowledge across operations, fund administration, middle office, back office, distribution, sales, marketing, and related industry platforms such as Aladdin, VestmarkOne, State Street, Rimes, SS&C, and iCapital.
