Base Salary
$155k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build new services, features, and user experiences from scratch and evolve prototypes into scalable production systems.
- Translate ambiguous problem spaces into clear technical and architectural approaches.
- Collaborate with product, design, and customers on discovery, solution design, and product definition.
- Build proofs of concept and technical spikes, validate assumptions, and iterate using customer feedback.
- Influence product direction and make engineering-informed tradeoffs.
- Design and build maintainable systems after validating product direction.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, coding standards, best practices, and mentoring.
- Own quality, reliability, performance, and customer experience from prototype through production.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience shipping products in fast-moving environments.
- Demonstrated success building new products or exploratory features through 0→1, startup, innovation lab, or greenfield work.
- Ability to work independently through ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Strong customer empathy and interest in learning directly from users.
- Full-stack fluency or strong backend experience paired with product instincts.
- Hands-on experience with Python/Django, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of system design, APIs, performance, and scalable architecture.
- Ability to balance rapid experimentation with long-term quality and maintainability.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
