Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve distributed payment systems spanning real-time local clearing, SWIFT, and proprietary treasury routing across more than 150 countries.
- Build idempotent and fault-tolerant systems for multi-currency reconciliation, asynchronous settlement, and compensation logic across banking partners.
- Define SLAs and design graceful degradation and observability capabilities for payment-network reliability and partner outages.
- Use payment telemetry to optimize routing, identify bottlenecks, and measure settlement speed and conversion impacts.
- Drive technical direction through design reviews and RFC processes while collaborating with engineering teams across multiple global hubs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software development and modern engineering practices.
- Deep expertise in system architecture and high-quality engineering.
- A strong track record of impact as a technical lead and experience leading effective teams.
- Ability to mentor engineers, raise technical standards, and promote knowledge sharing.
- Strong analytical, data-driven, prioritization, ownership, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
- Empathy for customer needs and the ability to build intuitive, impactful products.
