Responsibilities
- Design and implement best-practice multi-account AWS architectures, account strategies, and Landing Zones using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.
- Plan and execute phased workload migrations from a single AWS account to multi-account environments with testing, rollback, and cutover planning.
- Codify account provisioning and baseline infrastructure with Terraform and automate networking, IAM, logging, and security controls.
- Design and enforce security guardrails using SCPs, IAM boundaries, least-privilege access, and centralized AWS security services.
- Design and operate AWS networking at scale, including VPC segmentation, centralized networking, hybrid connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, and routing.
- Implement AWS cost monitoring, budgeting, reporting, and customer or account-level chargeback/showback.
- Apply Linux and/or Windows systems engineering knowledge to hardening, patching, access control, and troubleshooting.
- Support compliance and audit requirements through segregation of duties and centralized logging.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience designing and operating AWS infrastructure at scale.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and multi-account architectures.
- Proven experience migrating workloads from single-account to multi-account AWS environments.
- Strong Linux and/or Windows operating system fundamentals.
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform.
- Experience implementing security guardrails with SCPs, IAM, and KMS.
- Experience with centralized logging, monitoring, and security tooling.
- Experience with AWS cost management and chargeback/showback models.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Transit Gateway and advanced networking experience, regulated or ISO 27001 environments, AWS Professional certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional, and experience designing long-term AWS platforms or cloud foundations.
