Responsibilities
- Perform moderate to complex Rave and Custom Functions programming, including study build programming, migration, Publish Check, PPC, and TSDV activities.
- Design, write, validate, and maintain clinical programming software and deliverables for annotated CRFs, database creation, coding setup, edit checks, imports, exports, listings, and custom reports.
- Provide application administration, technical support, monitoring, troubleshooting, integrations, application updates, and user acceptance testing for clinical programming systems.
- Generate and maintain development, coding, validation, and system documentation.
- Lead programming activities for multiple clinical studies, including five to twenty concurrent studies depending on scope and resourcing.
- Manage project resources, metrics, progress, status, scope, change orders, delivery risks, and resourcing needs.
- Provide senior review of program-level and multi-study deliverables and support sponsor audits and in-progress audits.
- Collaborate with clients, programmers, project teams, requestors, vendors, and project management to finalize specifications and resolve issues.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, training, guidance, and technical support to other clinical programming staff.
- Oversee clinical programming operations and, as required, supervise programmers, assign work, review workloads, conduct performance appraisals, and support staff development.
- Assist with vendor management, monitor service-level agreements, report metrics, and oversee hosted vendor upgrades and new module implementations.
- Participate in bid defenses, project reviews, departmental reviews, Quick Start Camps, and updates to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Requirements
- At least 5–7+ years of overall clinical programming experience.
- At least 2 years of Custom Functions programming experience.
- Experience with Rave programming, moderate to complex Custom Functions, migration, Publish Check, PPC, TSDV, and study build programming.
- SDBE Rave certification is mandatory.
- Veeva CDMS experience is preferred.
- Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education may be considered.
