Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies.
- Lead technical initiatives improving verification automation, reliability, and performance.
- Drive architecture, technical strategy, and distributed-system design for verification systems.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Build internal tools that improve verification-agent efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and conduct code reviews.
- Contribute to engineering culture through knowledge sharing and best practices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Java 8+ experience and recent experience with the Spring framework.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong system design skills and experience building distributed, high-throughput services.
- A track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and data protection principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and technical communication skills.
- Financial or KYC verification systems experience is preferred.

- Starting base salary of £111000–£145000 plus RSUs.
