Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test strategies, plans, and cases across UI, API, backend, and end-to-end systems.
  • Build, maintain, and scale automation frameworks for UI, API, end-to-end, device, and performance testing.
  • Develop reusable test utilities, APIs, and libraries to improve automation efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, product owners, designers, and cross-functional teams to establish test coverage and quality goals.
  • Improve quality engineering standards, tools, processes, and adoption across teams.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
  • Analyze test results, identify defect root causes, and work with development teams on timely resolution.
  • Promote shift-left testing and embed quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of software testing experience, including designing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on UI and API test automation experience for web and/or mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, with Python preferred.
  • Experience with Selenium and/or Appium.
  • Strong experience with API testing tools and frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, GraphQL, or gRPC.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and Docker, plus understanding of software development lifecycle, CI/CD practices, and test methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced agile environment with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred experience testing non-PC devices such as phones, game consoles, or set-top boxes.
  • Preferred experience with React Native.
  • Preferred exposure to microservices architecture, distributed system testing, and performance, load, or scalability testing.
