Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Investigate and root-cause production issues across embedded Linux, networking, firmware interfaces, and cloud-connected vehicle services.
- Analyze fleet telemetry and logs with SQL, PySpark, Databricks, and Python to detect issues, quantify impact, and validate fixes.
- Define fleet health criteria, monitor software rollouts, and inform release go/no-go decisions for more than 100,000 vehicles.
- Build and maintain telemetry monitoring, dashboards, and alerting for fleet-level health and regression detection.
- Conduct hypothesis-driven root-cause analysis, controlled experiments, evidence gathering, and written investigation documentation.
- Perform on-vehicle testing and diagnostic work to reproduce and validate system behavior.
- Partner with firmware, platform, cloud, and vendor teams to trace cross-system issues and implement durable fixes.
- Communicate investigation results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience building, debugging, or operating software systems.
- Strong programming ability in Python and/or C/C++, including debugging complex embedded code.
- Working knowledge of Linux processes, services, networking fundamentals, and logs.
- Experience with or strong aptitude for SQL and PySpark for large-scale data analysis.
- Hands-on experience analyzing large-scale telemetry or log data using PySpark, Databricks, SQL, or Python/pandas.
- Experience with embedded Linux internals, including kernels, drivers, networking stacks, and userspace-hardware interactions.
- Experience with Linux debugging and network analysis tools including perf, ftrace, strace, tcpdump, and Wireshark/PCAP.
- Familiarity with CAN, Automotive Ethernet, and LTE/cellular modem management.
- Familiarity with CANalyzer or oscilloscopes for ECU communication analysis.
- Experience building dashboards, monitoring, or alerting for production systems or fleet health.
- Ability to write automation and analysis scripts to accelerate investigations.
- Prior experience in automotive, robotics, IoT, or connected hardware products.
- Strong analytical reasoning, written communication, and ability to learn large multi-layer systems.
