Base Salary
$122k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, operations, security, production control, networking, architecture, and testing teams to define and fulfill technical requirements.
- Manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, AMI, security groups, and ELB services.
- Automate AWS infrastructure deployment and configuration using Ansible and Terraform.
- Develop Terraform frameworks for Apache Kafka and IBM MQ configuration, message routing, topic and queue validation, and consumer processing.
- Deploy and repave Kafka clusters using Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, and Docker.
- Provision and operate Kubernetes clusters on AWS, including worker nodes, network policies, persistent storage, cluster lifecycle, and secret management.
- Package and deploy applications using Helm, Harness, Kubernetes, and Docker across development, staging, and production environments.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins Groovy scripting and GitHub source control.
- Implement automated build and testing workflows, static analysis, security scanning, artifact management, and deployment automation.
- Monitor and tune application performance, plan deployment sizing, and develop failover, logging, monitoring, and operational practices.
- Configure roles and permissions using least-privilege strategies and promote secure application configuration standards.
- Provide guidance to systems and DevOps engineers and document SDLC pipelines and infrastructure operations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Two years of experience as a DevOps engineer, software developer, cloud engineer, or related professional.
- Experience automating AWS infrastructure with Ansible and Terraform, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and ELB.
- Experience provisioning and operating Kubernetes clusters on AWS using Rancher, Helm, Harness, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Experience developing Terraform automation for Apache Kafka and IBM MQ messaging systems.
- Experience designing CI/CD automation with Jenkins Groovy scripting, GitHub, SonarQube, Veracode, Sysdig, JFrog, and Docker.
- Experience with application deployment, infrastructure sizing, performance tuning, security controls, monitoring, failover, and deployment planning.
