Base Salary
$186k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess software gaps and customer requirements, classify requirements, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to user stories, software architecture, detailed designs, mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic.
- Develop and configure software components and applications that meet business, technical, security, availability, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
- Write Python and Shell/Bash scripts for backend automation, monitoring, deployment, validation, and repetitive process automation.
- Design and implement backend modules, REST API integrations, database queries, and cloud-based solutions.
- Create test objectives and cases, execute functional and regression testing, identify and analyze defects, and troubleshoot application issues.
- Monitor application performance and availability, analyze telemetry, logs, maintenance data, and performance metrics, and resolve bottlenecks.
- Perform application maintenance, re-engineering, change-request evaluation, deployment, debugging, validation, and root-cause analysis support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field plus two years of progressively responsible experience, or bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus five years of such experience.
- Experience coding and scripting in Python and Shell/Bash for backend automation and monitoring systems.
- Experience maintaining relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, and non-relational databases including Elasticsearch.
- Experience designing applications and backend modules using object-oriented programming and developing REST APIs and service-based integrations.
- Experience monitoring and validating large-scale systems using Kafka, ZooKeeper, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Experience designing and automating cloud-based environments using Azure and OpenStack.
- Experience automating deployments and validation scripts for Linux and Java applications.
- Experience creating deployment, release, operational, and root-cause-analysis documentation and supporting applications and end users.
