Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers and an AI Product Manager to scope use cases and build functional prototypes and demonstrations.
- Integrate data from ERPs, ecommerce platforms, and custom APIs to create customer-specific AI agents.
- Turn edge-case business rules into runtime-editable settings rather than hard-coded logic.
- Lead customer-facing demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, instrumenting and tuning models using production feedback.
- Collaborate with the Bangalore engineering team to transform prototypes into robust, reusable product features and modules.
- Own customer engagements from pre-sales scoping through post-deployment refinement and support long-term customer success.
- Act as the technical liaison among customers, product managers, engineering teams, and executive leadership.
- Develop customer relationships, advocate for customer needs, negotiate scope, and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Help define and establish CommerceIQ’s forward deployed engineering function.
Requirements
- 4–6 years or more of software development experience, including coding, problem solving, and debugging.
- Proficiency in Python or Java and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Full-stack and data integration experience, including APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, streaming or ETL pipelines, and AI/LLM-based agents.
- Experience working directly with external users, conducting discovery, translating ambiguous requirements into solutions, and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to rapidly prototype, collect feedback, and iterate on minimal viable solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Prior forward-deployed, solutions engineering, technical product management, or customer implementation experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with e-commerce, retail, supply-chain, or ad-tech data is preferred.
- Exposure to LLM applications such as fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation workflows is preferred.
