Base Salary
$388k - $558k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve internal CLIs, SDKs, and interfaces for browser, backend, and library JavaScript software.
- Partner with JavaScript teams to establish cleaner platform boundaries and increase developer speed and autonomy.
- Own the core application development platform, its CI/CD workflows, and supporting services and libraries.
- Lead efforts to improve platform observability and performance while protecting business-critical infrastructure.
- Drive the shared monorepo and local development experience across software categories.
- Own infrastructure and deployment integrations connecting the platform to Netflix's broader deployment ecosystem.
- Balance customer support, technical debt reduction, and new feature delivery while validating changes to shared infrastructure.
Requirements
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD and release systems at real scale.
- Experience with build pipelines, caching, incremental builds, artifact management, and deployment safety.
- Ability to design extensible interfaces and abstractions for complex, load-bearing systems.
- Strong developer-experience orientation, including attention to CLI ergonomics, error messages, and platform usability.
- Ability to align teams, negotiate technical boundaries, and move cross-team work forward.
- Ability to turn technical ambiguity into clear requirements and provide effective design and code feedback.
- Ability to improve release processes and rigorously validate changes to shared infrastructure.

- Annual salary and the option to choose the mix of salary and stock options; the stated salary range is $388,000.00-$558,000.00.
