Responsibilities
- Create and execute product test plans to ensure software meets design specifications and quality standards.
- Design and build a Playwright automation framework using page objects, fixtures, network interception, and multi-browser execution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with parallelization, reporting, flaky-test management, coverage thresholds, and regression baselines.
- Perform API, contract, integration, database, multi-tenant, performance, and security testing.
- Write and maintain Java testing with JUnit 5, Mockito, and Spring Boot integration tests.
- Validate persistence outcomes against Oracle databases and test tenant isolation, JWT-based access, and configuration scoping.
- Review requirements and designs for testability, define the test pyramid, and challenge incomplete acceptance criteria.
- Triage CI failures, distinguish flakes from regressions or environment issues, and feed defect root-cause patterns back into development.
- Partner with engineers on structured log assertions and trace-based test verification.
- Assist development teams with process improvements that improve product quality.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Playwright for end-to-end test authoring, fixtures, page object models, network interception, and multi-browser execution.
- Proficiency in TypeScript for maintainable, typed test code.
- Experience with API testing, REST endpoint validation, contract testing, response schema assertions, and CI/CD integration.
- Selenium experience sufficient to migrate legacy suites to Playwright.
- Experience with Java testing, JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Boot, SpringBootTest, and MockMvc.
- Experience validating database persistence against Oracle and testing multi-tenant systems.
- Basic load and performance testing experience with k6, Gatling, or an equivalent tool.
- Awareness of OWASP Top 10 concepts, including SQL injection, broken access control, and input boundary testing.
- Ability to build automation frameworks, own quality gates, review testability, and triage CI failures quickly.
