Base Salary
$129k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead resolution of technical and business problems involving scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and robustness.
- Generate ideas, evaluate technical solutions, and implement product features while monitoring technical progress against project plans.
- Define system architectures and assess technical feasibility trade-offs for short-term execution and long-term capabilities.
- Build and deploy scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable software applications.
- Participate in high-level development estimates to support roadmap execution.
- Explore new technologies and architectural concepts.
- Present solutions and ideas to team members and management.
- Mentor and provide leadership to software engineers as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Nine years of experience designing and analyzing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable, highly available systems.
- Nine years of experience with at least two modern programming languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, or Informatica.
- Experience with at least three of React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon Web Services.
- Nine years of experience with web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, and JSON.
- Nine years of experience with two or more general-purpose programming languages, including Java, Python, C/C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
- Nine years of experience defining system architectures and evaluating technical feasibility trade-offs.
- Nine years of experience producing fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Preferred experience includes nine years designing solutions or developing applications in healthcare and translating design mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications.
- Three years of experience with machine learning, especially natural language understanding, machine translation, deep neural networks, and related fields.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and a strong record designing and implementing large-scale consumer-facing applications.

- Base pay range is $129,100.00 to $214,500.00, with geographic differentials potentially applying.
