Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and execute comprehensive automated testing strategies covering functionality, performance, security, usability, scalability, and user experience.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks for iterative development, system testing, regression cycles, project releases, APIs, databases, and complex end-to-end systems.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI and maintain strong Git version control practices.
- Perform defect analysis, debugging, root cause identification, and detailed communication with developers to support resolution.
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, estimation, acceptance criteria, execution, test coverage, and testing metrics.
- Test Databricks, Snowflake, AWS cloud environments, APIs, databases, and system performance under varying load conditions.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, product owners, support teams, QA teams, engineering teams, and technology partners to deliver high-quality releases.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, methodologies, automation efficiency, framework scalability, platform performance, reliability, risk controls, and compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and automation development.
- Strong working knowledge of BDD automation frameworks and tools such as Playwright, RestAssured, TypeScript, Cypress, and Selenium.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI, with solid Git version control skills.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API concepts and JSON/XML data formats.
- Experience with Databricks testing, Snowflake testing, AWS cloud testing, API testing, database testing, and end-to-end test validation.
- Experience with GitLab Duo and modern automation tooling, including AI adoption using Claude, GitLab Duo, and Copilot for test deliverables.
- Experience supporting, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks across development, system testing, and regression cycles.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA to manage the testing lifecycle and report testing metrics.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with understanding of software testing lifecycle and defect management processes.
- Performance testing experience in cloud environments and awareness of AWS and Azure environments are highly valued.
- Banking domain experience is preferred.
